This a 1:35 phantasy model out of my earlier days of modelling. It is a MobileWeaponUnit that can be mounted e.g. on one of my trucks.. It features 15 sidewinder Rockets on 3 foldable weapon carriers. the Weapon carriers are universal, so that you can attach several different weapon systems just by changing the adapter between launcher and carrier. For transportation all three arms can be folded togethter for minimum storage place. During combat, all three arms can be controlled independendly in terms of range and angles within their given limits . Every arm is moved by hydraulic cylinders.

hey everybody. thanks for your feedback to the old version of this model. Actually I had to delete the old, because I could not update the model. Maybe I did something wrong…
@dswavely: Thanks for your explanation about STEP (and yes this model was designed by me :) )
Some words about STEP. As dswavely said, STEP is an industry standard for CAD data exchange between different systems. I use for my modelling only CAD systems, I think mainly because I am out of this buisness. This model was originally designed by me in SW 2001. I just found it and reassembled it in Pro/E WF4, so that all kinematics are working. the Pro/E assembly has fully functional folding mechanisms. Unfortunately those features are lost during export with STEP. I am glad 3DVia is now supporting STEP, since it is a great format for those who are using also CAD systems. If you do, download and have fun :)
“Standard for the Exchange of Product Data (STEP) is a ISO standard industrial automation systems product data representation and exchange format.
The file structure for a STEP file has a modular structure which makes it easier for developers to adapt the format to their own needs. The modules are called “classes” and are classified using numbers.”

3DVIA does now support both STEP and IGES uploads, but we are still doing testing and blog preparation before pointing it our in a more public way. Your inability to update is another thing we need to double-check. Thanks for pointing this out.
As always, thanks for the great models – I’ve been working with your TOW launcher in SolidWorks as part of the testing :)
hey dswavely, thanks for posting again. I hope you found the TOW launcher helpful. Let me kow if you need something else :)
You’re welcome. I’ll let you know how it goes :D.
dude,you’re absolutely fantastic!
thanks Sady2. I thought already you might like it due to the lots of rockets :)
