This is the lift facility that goes underneath the Delivery hangar ( http://www.3dvia.com/alfredix/models/D2ED78C8DAECFED0 )
there are 4 cargo lifts (the big tubes pointing straight out of the building) and 4 person lifts (coming down from the admin building ( http://www.3dvia.com/alfredix/models/4904ED7F51637547 ).
The big slots in the cargolift tunnels are for unloading the AGVs. There is one lift “out of” the first gargolift tunnel. The AGVs will transport the cargo coming from the PLS HEMMT Trucks.
the tunnels end in the Maintenance room. You can see the walls of this room. The big box underneath the maintenance room is the so called “Bomb drop romm”. It is a 5 story high room, that is filled with 2/3 with sand. the 5 tubes going out of this box are “expansion tubes”. The whole “room” is made for a bobm attack. In case somebody is smart enough to drop a bunker buster bomb into the lift tunnels, the bunker buster will go down the tunnel, obviousley destroy the lift mechanics, but then fall into this big “sand box”. there it will explode. The pressures of the explosin will look for the easiest way to go out and so expand through the lift tunnels and the “expansion tubes”. For this case the lift will be destroyed, but the whole facility will take less damage and can continue to operate (that is the plan, I have no idea if it will work this way :) )
What is still missing now is the logistic center itself. It will sit on top of the maintenance room. Between logistic center and ground floor, there will be 5 stories of solid concrete to protect the whole facility. The logistic center itself is3 stories high. Including maintenance and bombdroproom, the whole facility has 15 stories below ground (including the base floor from the deivery hangar).
Stay tuned, there is more to come…

I don’t know how you come up with all of these concepts and keep them all straight, but it is amazing! Are you planning on building this somewhere (:D)?

Thank goodness! We might have to import materials from other planets to make everything :D

thanks guys.
How do I come up with such things? I don’t know. I see something that is of interest for me and then I just want to do it my way for my 1:35 world. So it comes together :)

Thanks Don :) No, there is no intention to build this. I prefer the virtual world :)

To construct a building considering the action of a possible explosion seems brilliant to me. Big system, and of course big model alfredix. 5 for you…
