This is a 1:35 scale model of a 4×4 Heavy truck, equipped with a material handling crane and a 10Ft loadbed that is mounted on a support frame on the truck.
I have uploaded similar models before, but a few days ago, I started to rework my complete logistic system including all trucks and trailers, to have more options, when I put those models into scenes like the Foldingbridge diorama. I will post a complete documentation of trucks and equipment with a later model, to describe the whole program with all its options.

WOW 40MB!
so cooool
love the crane its amazing but what brand is it..
it is not made from a specific brand. I just copied the mechanics from real brands and then designed it the way I liked it :)
ok you calls it a material handling crane..
allmost al truck mounted cranes is called a hiab in the usa because hiab was the first to make them and in many years they was used on 98% of all trucks mounted cranes.
since then a lot of new brands has taken over but most people still calls them a hiab crane no matter what it is..
one thing i wunder about is that there is usally several oil pressure cables / tubes ion them where are they (ok i avoided them on my models)
but you use to make even the tinyes details so where there none on your 1.35 model..
oh i forgot
how can you upload a fiile as big as 40mb
i have a model called Airport in the skies which fills 24mb converted to 3ds or kmz and can not upload it because of the size..
(it only fills 6.5 mb as a skp file..)
I know Hiab very well. Another big one in Germany is Palfinger. A few years ago I contacted them for models from their CAD system, but I got only 2D drawings, which were basically dimensioned drawings from their catalog. Obviously they do not want to give away design data.
The cabling was there. If you look closely to the model, you can see the little flaps that were holding the hydraulic hoses. And all cylinders still contain the fittings for the hoses. But cabling increases the heaviness of a model very much. most of all because the cabling must be dynamical, when the crane moves.
As I said in my first comment. I did NOT use any model kit as resource. This is completely my own design (out of my brain so to say)
The STEP file is 40MB. But STEP is only text, so when you zip it, the size is reduced to about 7MB (for this model).
my favourite real-non-military trucks are the mercedes unimogs
i love them because they are fully customisable, may go up on a hill of 45`,run with 65mph(certain trucks) and…they are used in ARMY!!!
Sady, it is not correct that the Unimog is not used in the Army. They are in the German Bundeswehr. The old ones with the tiny cabin, then the really nice ones the U1300. And I think even their latest model is used in Bundeswehr for different purposes.
You can upload the 40 mb model because the 3dxml version is much smaller.
hello everybody, I have updated my webalbum, so that you can see the full range of available Logistic Trucks: http://picasaweb.google.com/alfredeix/001Einzelmodelle?feat=directlink
