This is a 1:35 scale model of the AH-1W SuperCobra. When the US Army became more involved in the Apache Program (http://www.3dvia.com/alfredix/models/A3B7C699ABBD8FA1), the US Marine Corps took over responsibility and further developped the Cobra. Out of this project the AH-1W came out, which is the latest and most versatile “snake”.
