My jaw dropped when I saw all of these ready-to-ship weapons…I just can’t believe how much work you’ve put into all of these…wow…speechless…

Thank you Don.
I’ll be honest with you: It was planned as a simple “inbetween 2 big projects” work. but when I started I was surprised by myself how much work it will actually be… :)
the flatrack itself was available (it was done within my logistic equipment project with container, flatracks etc) already. “only” the weapon cradles were to be done…
The basic frame is made parametric in terms of outer dimensions (In Solidworks, you would make this with “Configurations, based on XLS”). Then I designed the inserts that are sprecific for each weapon. when you open the STEP file in a CAD system, you can see all the parts used for one cradle, to make sure that the weapon is securely fixed in the cradle. At the same time there must be a removable insert to make sure you can unload the weapon.
I made cradles for all weapons I have at the moment. But there are more planes to come and more wepons to do. Then it will be interesting to see how the cradles develop for the new weapons :)
