Whoa – this is one of my favorites! It’s very sinister looking and has fantastic suspension details! How did you solve getting them to come into 3DVIA on the ground?

Hi Billybobsue,
the model is made with LEGO digital designer (like all my LEGO models, see the LEGO group for more :) )
I finally figured out how to bring good results with 3DVia Printscreen. Tomy did a great job to explain me how:
1) In LEGO designer rotate the model to top view (a look on the top of the truck for example). Of course the model must be grounded in LEGO designer as well.
2) printscreen the model
3) if necessary HIDE all unwanted items in 3DXML player (that one opens automatically, depends on settings in printscreen)
4) printscreen again, this time from 3DXML player (also here the model must be oriented to top-view)
5) done.
PS: I updated all my LEGO models this way, this explains the flood of my models today :)

I did last year :)
This year, due to the world wide crisis, there is not so much left, to spend for LEGO, so I had to go back to my cost free( :D ) modelling, as you can see in my other models :)
But you’re right, LEGO is expensive.

Wow! Dreams coming true. Do you have any pictures of your collection?
I splurged one year and bought the silver Technic series F! car that could also be made into a truck (it’s current form) and thoroughly enjoyed the whole process! I can turn my head and see it less than a foot away. :D
When one of my sons was 10 he built the Technic car with 3-speed transmission and full steering and suspension. He learned a lot!
He also had the early Mindstorm system, another great inspiration for emerging talents.

I’ll see about the pictures :)
Talking about Mindstorms: Those guys are so high tech already, it is incredible.
Last year on Hannover Messe (largest Industry fair in the world), they hosted the Robo-challenge, which is a football tournament played by teams of robots.
During this I saw a lot of LEGO mindstorms …. jaw droppin :)

Thanks for the excellent process description! Lego’s quarterly profits would go up significantly if you ordered all the models you’ve designed – :D

Yes, that is what I was trying to tell you, how did you figure out colours?
