Havent had the greatest of times as this fine year is ending. So to keep my mind occupied I decided to create a model for the challenge, Its a bit creepy and weird, mainly cos I have always had this love for creepy and cheesy horror movies (If anyone can spot the “Return of the Living Dead” reference, they will recieve a virtual pat on the back) This guy’s story is that he was made in a cold winter day by a young boy and his dad in their farm, However, the local millitary chemical weapons facility misplaced a drum of a deadly chemical during transit, this chemical ended up in this farm and fused with the Snowman DNA (for the sake of this story Snowmen have DNA) and created an evil intelligent snowman creature that lures victims with promises of presents and fun snowball fights…but you will have to look beyond that to find out his true intentions.
By the way, I should give credit to user Omind, since I was lacking a good barrel texture I helped myself to this one:

I hope thats ok.
Anyways, happy new year to all and feel free to leave comments.

I LOVE “Return of the Living Dead”. Never got the credit it should have. Great model!! If I might ask, what program did you build it in?
“BRAINS, BRAINS”
Made the model in 3D Studio Max, I am so glad other people liked the Return of the Living Dead, was watching it just as I was finishing the model since I wanted to get the same details and phone number the metal barrels have in the film… I would have included a brain in there or something, but wanted to be a wee bit more subtle.
it looks really good !
nice work !
Thanks mate, it was hard coming up with a good idea to make a cool snowman, especially since the other guys who made their snowmen already came up with the cool ideas, I mean “OMG THEY KILLED FROSTY “ still makes me giggle :)
totally cool model.
Very nice, kudos on the textures especially, they look great.
Great snowman, and scene all together!
Fantastic model! Great to have your contributions on 3DVIA and good luck in the challenge!
Great model and scene. The contrasting colors really bring everything together.
Thanks for all the kind comments, especially dubilla, I am glad I got the colors right since I I usually screw up my models when it comes to texturing, not through bad uvws or anything, I just make really bad color choices mostly.
