Cassan Said Amer tells the story of a lecturer who began a seminar by holding up a 20 dollar bill and asking: ‘Who would like this 20 dollar bill?’
Several hands went up, but the lecturer said: ‘Before I give it to you, I have to do something.’
He screwed it up into a ball and said: ‘Who still wants this bill?’
The hands went up again.
‘And what if I do this to it?’
He threw the crumpled bill at the wall, dropped it on the floor, insulted it, trampled on it, and once more showed them the bill – now all creased and dirty. He repeated the question, and the hands stayed up.
‘Never forget this scene,’ he said. ‘It doesn’t matter what I do to this money. It is still a 20 dollar bill. So often in our lives, we are crumpled, trampled, ill-treated, insulted, and yet, despite all that, we are still worth the same.’

good one… :)
did u import the picture?
you should write a book,abu
Wish I had the time and ‘brains’…
I do write short essays and editorials, but writing a book is a different ball-game… I am however assisting a friend of mine who’s aspiring to write a novel…
The present passage is actually from a book “Like the Flowing River” by Paulo Coelho. Past stories were also from same title…
I’m making these simple models in 3DVia to make the reading more interesting…
Sharing the stories with 3DVia community and the models with my team-mates… heard of ‘hitting 2 birds with 1 stone’??? :)
no,but i heard by ‘killing two rabbits with one bullet’
Great story! I really enjoy your 3D story telling. In each of our cultures since ancient times we have heard similar concepts explained differently through story telling. First it was by hearing, later seeing and reading were added and now 3D models have added yet another way.
Your 3D story telling is very effective and I enjoy your reminders about the true values that help guide us. Thanks!
you’re most welcome Don…
just added a few things to make the scene complete…
I heard that Two birds with one stone thing on the 3dvia GDC website.
great story :D I liked it
It doesn’t matter how you look or how people see you, but what matters is what you really are ;)
(don’t forget to put it on the 3D Stories group :D)
I really loved the story..
