In order for these to work you have to stare at the center dot.
it works on the model, but the effect is stronger if you look at the texture image.and yes it can cause headaches but I like them anyway ! :D

Toymaker is absolutely right about understanding the illusion of this model. If you are still struggling to find out whats happening here – First look at the centre dot of the the texture (concentrate for few moments) & you will find the circles are rotating. Now look at the model & you will understand it better.

Now I see it! I’ve seen something simalar and it’s so strong it looks like an effect they put into there but it’s so perfectly accurate it must be an illusion:
