Very cool model! What is a Steppenschiff though? It appears to be some kind of a wind powered tricycle that can be used on land or in water. Where can I learn more?

Stepphenschiff is the original model name, probably the german word for “ship of the desert”.
There are lots of tales about these ships ; you can find some of them on Harry Oliver Fandom Center ( http://www.klaxo.net/hofc/hofc.htm ).
