I was wondering why this model, that looks so good on the 3dwarehouse, looks so faceted here on 3DVIA. I only use the free version of SketchUp so I only have the dae and kmz export choices available. This model was uploaded to 3DVIA using the 3DS format.

If you read the first few paragraphs of this post - http://www.3dvia.com/blog/tips-tricks-uploading-to-3dvia-dcc/ - you may realize that you would be better off exporting in the dae format for a much smoother model.
